What Are Grinders & Typical Applications
Grinders use horizontally rotating discs to perform a multitude of tasks, from light texturing to open the pores of the surface to removal of paints and thin coatings. Grinders use rotary action rather than impact to remove material. They generally leave behind a smoother profile than scarifying or shotblasting, and when working on hard, dense concrete they may polish rather than abrade the surface.
Concrete grinders are the perfect tools to compliment Ultra-High Pressure water and shot blasting projects for tight or obstructed spaces, such as beams, bulkheads, walls, or columns. When combined with an integrated vacuum system, they produce minimal dust.
